The Great Plains is an excellent region. Made up of smaller yet important cities such as Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, and Odessa. All these places are set into the sub regions the High Plains, Llano Estacado, and Edwards Plateau area. Within all of this, great places have sprouted up. Located in these parts are Palo Duro Canyon State Park and Lubbock Lake National Historic Landmark. Also a big since the Panhandle takes up nearly the entire regions area, the Panhandle-Plains Mueseum. These are great places to visit, but to make the most out of your trip out to the region, you must go to the the national parks, go camping, fishin, picnicking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. Just don't take children rock climbing because there are not little man-made hand grabs for the little ones to latch onto. If you are making a decision to move away and get a new job, you would have great luck testing the major cities for a job in retail. Think about if you want high end retail or tail end retail. They have an abundance of retail jobs.
